Luxury Kimono Car Photoshoot in Tokyo

Most kimono photos in Tokyo look the same: a temple gate, a crowd, a quick snapshot. This shoot is built to look like nothing else on your camera roll — a premium kimono, a legendary Japanese sports car, and Tokyo Tower glowing orange behind you.

We style you at our studio in Asakusa, drive you and the crew to Tokyo Tower, and shoot photos and video as the tower lights up. Our standard car is a white Toyota Supra MK5, and other JDM icons such as the Nissan Skyline R34 can be arranged on request.

It works for solo shoots, couples and friends. Message us with your date and group, and we will check car availability and send you a quote.

What Your Tokyo Tower Shoot Looks Like

Kimono, Car and Tower in One Frame

The signature shot: you in kimono beside the car, with Tokyo Tower lit up behind. Our photographer shoots low and wide so the tower, the car and the full length of the kimono all fit in.

Behind the Wheel

Inside the car, the dashboard light and the city outside make a completely different mood — sunglasses on, sleeves draped over the door. A favourite for the video.

Details in the Headlights

Silk patterns against glossy paint, a gold fan by the tail lights, a hair ornament caught in the glow. These close-ups are where premium kimono really shows.

Why We Shoot with the Toyota Supra MK5

  • White paint that flatters kimono — the clean white body catches the orange glow of Tokyo Tower and lets the colours and patterns of your kimono stand out, whether you wear black, red or white.
  • A true sports-car silhouette — low, wide and sculpted, the MK5 brings the JDM energy that made these shoots popular on TikTok.
  • Made for the camera — its curves, headlights and cockpit work for full-length portraits, close-up details and shots behind the wheel.
  • A rental cost that fits the package — the MK5 keeps the shoot complete — car, kimono, styling, photos, video and transport — without a supercar surcharge.

Prefer a different car? Other models, such as the Nissan Skyline R34, can also be rented, but price and availability change by car and date. Message us before booking and we will check both for you.

Kimono Car Photoshoot FAQ

How much does the kimono car photoshoot cost?

Pricing depends on the car you choose and how many people are in the shoot, so we quote each booking individually. Message us on WhatsApp, Instagram or TikTok with your date and group size and we will reply with a quote. A ¥40,000 deposit confirms the booking.

Our standard car is a white Toyota Supra MK5 — chosen for its white paint, sporty shape, a rental cost that fits the package, and how well it photographs with kimono. Other cars, such as the Nissan Skyline R34, can also be rented, but please contact us in advance so we can check the price and availability for your date.

Yes. We shoot solo guests, couples, two friends and small groups. Let us know how many people when you message us, and we will plan the shots and the quote around your group.

Plan for around 3 to 3.5 hours: about 90 minutes for kimono, hair and makeup in Asakusa, 30 to 40 minutes to drive to Tokyo Tower, then 60 to 90 minutes of shooting. You change out of the kimono at the end and do not need to return to the shop.

All original photos, 12 fully retouched images, and one edited video of 30 to 50 seconds in vertical or horizontal format — your choice.

Message us with your preferred date. Once the car and quote are confirmed, a ¥40,000 deposit holds your date. The balance is paid on the day of the shoot, in cash or by card. You can message us in any language.
