Most guests arrive without a style in mind, and that is completely fine — our staff will walk you through the racks when you get here. But if you would like to decide before you come, this is how we usually guide people.
By season. Spring and autumn are the easiest months for kimono in Asakusa: any tier is comfortable, and cherry blossom or maple patterns match what is actually blooming outside. In Tokyo’s summer heat, lace kimono and basic kimono are the lightest options and we suggest booking a morning slot. In winter, a haori layered over traditional kimono or furisode is genuinely warm.
