Is there another shop in Asakusa with a similar name?
Kimono Rental Ann has a single location — 4F, 1-36-11 Asakusa, Taito-ku — and no branches. Another business in Asakusa operates under a similar name; we have no affiliation with it, and we do not share staff, kimono collection, booking system or pricing.
If you are not sure which shop you booked with, check the address above and our official store information page, which lists all our official channels.

Do you have Sanrio character kimono (Hello Kitty, Kuromi, My Melody)?
Yes. We keep a Sanrio character kimono collection — Hello Kitty, Kuromi and My Melody — with matching cute obi colours and character plush accessories for photos. They rent at the same price as our standard plans and they book out quickly, so please reserve early.
See our character kimono page for photos of each design.
Can I wear kimono in the evening?
Yes. We are open until 8:00 PM, later than most shops in Asakusa, so you can keep your kimono into the evening. Sensoji Temple is lit up after dark and the streets are far quieter, which makes photos easier. In winter it gets dark early, so you get more evening time out of the same rental.
See our night kimono page for the best spots after sunset.

However, we are happy to help record short clips using your phone or the photographer’s phone so you can keep additional memories of your experience.
Do you have an indoor photo studio?
Yes. We have our own Japanese-style studio inside the shop — tatami, shoji screens and soft natural daylight — so you can shoot regardless of the weather or how crowded Asakusa is that day. Studio sessions start from ¥5,000.
See our studio photoshoot page for packages and sample photos.
What is the difference between a studio and an outdoor photoshoot?
Outdoor sessions are shot around Sensoji Temple, Nakamise and the older streets of Asakusa. They give you real scenery and atmosphere, but they depend on the weather and on how busy the area is.
Studio sessions are shot indoors on tatami with controlled light — calm, private, unaffected by rain, and usually better for close portraits, family groups and guests who prefer not to be photographed in public.
Many guests book both: studio first, then a walk outside. Compare them on our studio photoshoot page and our outdoor photoshoot packages.
Return
A smooth and simple conclusion to your day.
What time should I return the kimono?

Yes, next-day return is available.
The kimono should be returned by 10:00 AM the following morning.
A deposit is required for overnight rentals, and please note that some kimono styles may not be available for next-day return.
What happens if I return the kimono late?
Late returns may be charged as an additional rental day.
We recommend returning the kimono on time to avoid extra fees.
What if the weather is bad on the day of my reservation?
Rain is not a problem. Our indoor Japanese-style studio lets you wear kimono and take photos whatever the weather — soft natural light, tatami and shoji screens, no umbrella needed. Many guests book the studio session as a rainy-day plan and save the outdoor walk for another day. See our studio photoshoot page.
If you would rather reschedule: kimono and makeup bookings can be changed by telling us at least one day in advance, and photoshoot bookings at least 24 hours before the session. Deposits are refundable with timely cancellation.
Do I need to wash or clean the kimono before returning it?
No cleaning is required.
Simply return the kimono to us. However, we kindly ask that you keep the kimono and accessories separate when removing them to avoid stains or damage.
